Jaime Yamanaka is a Japanese-American musician and artist based in Tokyo. Her work explores consciousness, identity, and the practice of noticing, drawing on everyday objects and on Japanese and Western cultural influences.

Her artistic and commercial work has been featured internationally, from Tower Records Japan and Japanese national TV to The Brooklyn Review. She is the lead singer and lyricist of petalhead, a Tokyo-based indie pop duo that released its debut album, The Uncaging of a Paper Crane, in 2025.
